It’s a beautiful clear crisp morning although it’ll be in the 80’s by noon. I really think those compression socks are going to do the trick.
They are keeping the dressings in place and my feet are snugly in my boots and pretty comfortable. It’s only 12 or 13 miles to Villafranca del Bierzo and I’m thinking even moving slowly that I’ll be there by 1:00 pm or 1300 hours. I’m booked at the Parador (again not your typical pilgrim experience) so I’m super excited.
It occurs to me that there is one other important thing in connection with taking that first step to reach your objective.
And that is that after you take that first step, you have to keep on going. You have to keep moving forward, you have to keep advancing even if your feet hurt.
So with that thought and apologies to Willie,
I’m in the Camino again!!!
