Well, in retrospect and with the benefit of hindsight I should’ve grabbed a headlamp and started out an hour earlier but I’m doing great!
The walk along the San Antonio river from the Alamo was quiet and lovely but I’m not gonna lie the surface streets of Broadway and Austin Highway were a slog. Thank goodness for overcast skies.
Now I’m at a literal oasis the Tobin Park Trailhead of the Salado Creek Greenway. From now on it’s mostly all greenway until the Huebner Trailhead which is only a couple of miles from my house.
I’m guessing I’m a third of the way home. I’ll post again my progress in a couple of hours.
An apple never tastes more crispy, sweet, juicy and delicious than it does at a time like this!
